Since the founding of EMS, in 1993 in Baltimore City, we have devoted ourselves to handsbecoming valuable assets to our customers and team members. Our software is used by more than 25 State Agencies and numerous commercial installations. In 1996, EMS relocated to 227-229 North Holliday Downtown Baltimore, Maryland. Baltimore offers an ample supply of affordable living and plenty of great cultural activities.

Company events include our annual holiday bash, a company picnic in the summer, the annual spring golf outing (Baltimore has an endless supply of beautiful courses), season tickets to soccer, football, and baseball throughout the year, bowling, and other company sponsored events.

Benefits

EMS prides itself in offering a comprehensive benefits package to meet the needs of our team members and to help ensure their health and welfare. We review our benefits routinely and continually strive to enhance them. The highlights below do not cover all the details and eligibility restrictions for these benefits.

Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance:

Employees may choose to cover themselves and/or their dependents.
Employee monthly cost as follows (after EMS contribution of $198.31):

  • Individual -0-
  • Parent & Child $171.42
  • Wife & Husband $225.64
  • Family $387.83
401k: Employees have the option of participating in our 401(k) plan. An employee may contribute up to 15% ($10,000 maximum) of their salary per year. EMS makes contributions at its discretion. However, any EMS contribution will be based on yearly profitiblility.
Paid Time Off (PTO): Employees earn 20 PTO days per calendar year. The PTO is accrued at 1.67 days per month or 5 days per quarter. Employees must use 5 of their vacation days for our end of year shutdown scheduled between Christmas and New Year’s day.

Employees are granted 8 holidays per year as follows:

Long-Term Disability/Life Insurance: EMS provides long-term disability and $25,000 of life insurance at no cost to our employees. Employees may purchase additional amounts of life insurance at minimal cost.
Training & Education Assistance: EMS believes in improving our employees and our company by providing up to $2,500 in training and education assistance per employee per year.
Additional benefit services: AFLAC Flex-One (employee paid participation) and Supplemental Insurance (employee paid participation); available after 90 day observation period.
